Special Episode: Interview with Charlene White

 #Ohshittwins, Charlene White

Charlene hosts a show called ‘IRL with Team Charlene’ to tackle racism in the UK, as well as hosting ITV News London and most recently appearing on  ITV’s Loose Women.

Charlene is also patron of Bowel Cancer UK, a charity very close to her as she sadly lost her mum to bowel cancer when she was 21.

STAR STUDDED LINE UP FOR BOWEL CANCER UK’S VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Bowel Cancer UK have today announced their star studded line up for their virtual Christmas Celebration event on Tuesday 8 December at 7pm.

Hosted by ITV journalist and presenter, Sean Fletcher, viewers will be treated to festive readings from BBC journalist George Alagiah OBE and ITV journalist Charlene White. There will also be special performances from soprano singer Elizabeth Atherton and musical theatre star Debra Michaels, who have both been affected by bowel cancer, as well as other special guests.

A premium ticket of £15 will include Christmas Celebration pack, which includes: personalised Christmas decoration, order of service, mulled wine spices, festive biscuits recipe from chef and BBC TV star Nadiya Hussain MBE and a craft activity. A standard ticket is £5.

More than 44 people die from bowel cancer every day in the UK; it’s the UK’s second biggest cancer killer. However it shouldn’t be because it’s treatable and curable, especially if diagnosed early.

Join our virtual Christmas Celebration event and give hope to those that are going through treatment, remember loved ones and come together to stop people dying of bowel cancer.

Tickets cost £5 or £15, book now to avoid disappointment: bowelcanceruk.org.uk/christmascelebration

About the author

Georgia is a mother who has decided to live out loud after motherhood took the wind out of her! From finding out she was going to be a mother of twins, then them being born at 27 weeks (two and a half months early), it was a rollercoaster but sharing the whole experience on platforms such as Make Motherhood Diverse has reminded her that she wasn’t alone despite not feeling included in the mainstream vision of motherhood.
Georgia regularly shares the realities of being a mother of twins on her Instagram page while still craving her own piece of the world. It’s a mixture of meltdowns and giggles and Black British Motherhood in all its glory.
Georgia has a background in beauty as a qualified make-up artist and eyelash technician. She ran a beauty business providing pamper treatments for private and corporate clients, and has also worked on a multitude of events including influencers book launches for Zoella and Tanya Burr, and brands such as Wilko and Pixi beauty. Despite her love for beauty, she is fully aware of the lack of diversity and poorly executed campaigns when brands want to appear diverse.

Georgia is a confident communicator and loves to chat about all things motherhood, womanhood and diversity (or the lack thereof) in the media and beauty world, all from a Black British Londoner perspective.
